This is the 2010 remake of And Soon The Darkness starring Amber Heard, Karl Urban and Odette Yustman.
The writers of the original film Brian Clemens and Terry Nation got credited here and since Nation is the creator of the Daleks and Urban had started playing Dr Leonard “Bones” McCoy with the previous year’s Star Trek, it is therefore quite a curio, in one of these Doctor Who-Star Trek crossover games, to see the names of the Dalek creator and a major Star Trek character actor credited in the same movie.
The 2010 film brings a little more dimension than its predecessor and overall it is not badly executed.
It is rather curious that this remake got made at all since the original film is not exactly well known and one probable reason is that the makers of the remake are fans of Terry Nation as that is the only plausible reason I can think of on why anyone knows about the existence of the original film.
